A Message to Leo Parents From the Principal

July, 2008

Dear Parents,

I am privileged to serve as Principal of Leo Catholic High School. This brief memo is intended to give each of you a quick summary of my background and my general plan for the upcoming school year.

Thirty-five years ago I became a Catholic school Principal for the first time. During the course of my career, I have both taught and administered at all levels of education including the university. I am a born and raised Chicagoan. My proudest achievements are the blessings of having raised two sons who are now married. I hold two Master Degrees (Educational Administration and Theology) and have finished all academic coursework at the University of Oxford, England toward a Th.D. I received my Doctorate in Theology from the Graduate Theological Foundation.

My commitment to you is a threefold plan. First, to administer a quality Catholic/Christian and pervasive religious education that clearly encompasses and respects The Trinity as well as all religious traditions and each of our young men. I will need your support here.

Second, a striving for academic excellence on the part of each of my teachers and coaches. This academic excellence will be a requirement for your son during my tenure as Principal. I certainly need your help at home in this area as well.

Third, it is my goal to make your son feel safe, disciplined and well-prepared for the real world during his educational, personal and religious experience with me at Leo.

I demand these commitments of myself. I insist on these commitments by my entire faculty. I anticipate your complete support in each of these areas throughout this academic year in order to truly benefit your son.

Lastly, I anticipate retiring here at Leo Catholic High School. I expect to be very busy keeping our tradition strong and moving toward the future. It will be my pleasure to see each of you throughout this academic year.

God Blessings!

Milton Kobus
