Applying to Leo Catholic High School
Grade School Students
Eighth graders must take the school entrance examination held every year on the second Saturday of January before being considered for enrollment. Recommendations from teachers and school principals may be requested. To apply for enrollment in the class of 2012, the next entrance exam will be held on Saturday January 12, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. Call the Admissions Office at 773/224-9600 for more information.
Transfer Students
Student attempting to transfer to Leo Catholic High School must contact our school's Admissions Office at 773/224-9600. Transfer admission is based on grades and discipline reports from prior school(s). In all cases, a prospective student and his parent(s) will be interviewed by the Principal and/or Vice-Principal before admission is granted.

Leo Catholic High School is located at 7901 S. Sangamon St., two (2) blocks west of Halsted St. in the Auburn/Gresham Community.
Yearly, 90% or more of the senior class is accepted into our country's top colleges and universities.
Tuition for the 2007-2008 school year was $5,955 (including standard fees). Leo Catholic High School provides nearly $375,000 annually to students through financial assistance and educational scholarships. For additional information on financial aid, contact our Admissions Office.
Leo Catholic High School students that do not have their own transportation, use public transportation to get to school. Most students use the CTA Dan Ryan L trains or Western bus lines to 79th street, were the buses arrives at stops on the east and west corners in front of the school building, in rough 10-20 minutes. Private transportation is also available for pick-up and drop-off.
Prospective students and their families can visit Leo Catholic High School during our "Open House Days" or schedule a private tour of the school. Eighth and seventh graders are welcome to "shadow" to a Leo student and experience the classroom activities and student interaction unscripted.
