2011 GRADUATION

Thirty-eight seniors joined the ranks of Leo Alumni on Sunday, May 22, when they graduated from Leo High School after completing four years of college-prep academic work. The graduates looked extremely sharp in white tuxedos, black pants, black bow ties and black shoes. Their parents,
friends and other family members filled the church at
St. Columbanus and saluted the grads as they paraded
up the center aisle for the ceremony.

EDWARD VAUGHN was the valedictorian after
completing four years with the highest grade-point
average among the seniors. Vaughn is headed to the
University of Illinois to study engineering. In his
valedictorian speech, Vaughn urged his fellow
graduates to set their goals high and work hard to
achieve them.

JOSIAH JONES was the class salutatorian after finishing with the second-highest GPA. Jones is headed for either the University of Illinois or Illinois-Chicago, also to study engineering. In his speech, he thanked the Leo faculty and administration, along with the assembled parents, for their help in getting the graduates to this day. He reminded the students that anything is possible for people who work hard and do their best.
